chinadialogue.net is an independent, non-profit organisation based in London, Beijing and San Francisco that promotes a common understanding of the environmental challenges fast growing China faces. It is funded by a range of institutional supporters, including several major charitable foundations including DEFRA
It is beautifully put together with the experienced Isabel Hilton (BBC television, BBC Radio Three, The Guardian, New Yorker et al) in the CEO’s chair.
1. It’s delivered in two languages simultaneously and those two languages pretty much cover the planet: Mandarin is the most widely spoken first language, and English is the most widely spoken second language.
2. China imposes the greatest threat (and conversely opportunity) to climate change, being the largest consumer of coal in the world.
If we can fix China, we can fix the world. Probably.
